Learn more โHow to choose the right service
Thirteen options is a lot to scan. In practice the decision comes down to three questions, and most owners land on the same answer to the first one.
Start with the hours, not the job title
Track a normal week and find the work that takes the most time for the least judgement โ inbox triage, scheduling, chasing invoices, moving data between tools. That is what should leave your desk first, whatever it is called. The two services marked Easy start exist because this is where almost everyone begins.
Match the service to the kind of thinking involved
Execution work โ posting, formatting, entering, replying to known questions โ is a good first handover because success is easy to check. Work that needs context about your business, like operations or sales support, is worth delegating second, once your assistant knows how you decide things.
Expect to combine two, not pick one
Most clients run a primary service plus a smaller second one โ executive support with some social media, or customer service with light bookkeeping. One assistant can usually cover both. When two services genuinely need different expertise, a second assistant costs less than stretching the first one thin.
Still unsure? Send us the three tasks you most want gone and we will tell you which service covers them โ or say plainly if none of them do.
Choosing a
service
Can one assistant cover more than one of these services?
Usually yes, and most clients start that way. An executive VA who also keeps your CRM tidy and drafts social captions is common. What does not work well is stretching one person across work that needs genuinely different skills โ bookkeeping and web development, say. When that happens we add a second assistant rather than pretend one can do both.
Which service should I start with?
Start with whatever eats the most hours for the least judgement. For most owners that is inbox, calendar and data entry, which is why Administrative Support and Research & Data Entry are marked as easy starts. You can add specialist work once the basics are running without you.
What is the difference between an admin VA and an operations VA?
An administrative assistant executes tasks you hand over. An operations assistant owns the process itself โ writing the SOP, tracking renewals, keeping a dashboard current, spotting what is slipping before you do. If you find yourself re-explaining the same workflow, you want operations rather than admin.
Do I pay more for a specialist service?
Plans start at $60 per month across all services, and the effective rate falls to around $7 an hour at higher volumes. Specialist work such as bookkeeping or development sits at the upper end of the range because the talent pool is smaller, but the pricing model is the same and there is no per-service surcharge.
How do AI automations fit alongside a human assistant?
AI handles the repetitive middle of a task โ sorting, drafting, extracting, summarising. A person still decides what matters, catches what the model gets wrong, and follows through. The AI Productivity & Automation service is about setting that split up deliberately rather than hoping a tool replaces the work.
Can I switch services later?
Yes. Plans run month to month, so you can change what your assistant focuses on as your priorities move. If the new work needs different skills, we rematch you rather than asking your current assistant to learn on your time.
If it's on your to-do list, one of our VAs takes it off.
